Equipment

  • Shaker
  • Cocktail jigger or shot glass

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 4 oz pomegranate juice
  • 1 Tbsp agave syrup
  • 2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz orange liqueur (like Triple sec)

Instructions

  • measure all ingredient into a shaker and add a handful of ice
  • shake until chilled (about 10-15 seconds)
  • add 1 Tbsp. of fine sea salt, 1 Tbsp. of fine sugar, and the zest of 1/2 a lime onto a plate. Mix together. Then take a lime wedge and coat the rim of the glass and dip into the mixture until evenly coated.
  • strain the cocktail through the shaker top onto fresh ice
  • garnish with your favorite fruit

Notes

Of course you could do simply salt rim or sugar or no rim at all. I garnished with blueberries because I had a super sweet batch and I love them so much, but you could garnish with lime, pomegranate seeds, or any other fruit.
